Tempe Entertainment Announces Blu-Ray Debuts for "Platoon of the Dead" and "Poison Sweethearts"

 
Tempe Entertainment recently released information for their upcoming blu-ray releases of "Platoon of the Dead" and "Poison Sweethearts". Both films will include English subtitles.

Special features for "Platoon of the Dead" includes Audio commentary with the director & cinematographer, Behind-the-scenes featurette, Zombie House tour, Tough Tom’s Movie Boot Camp, Director & cinematographer interviews, Cast & crew interviews, Deleted scene, Blooper reel, Optional English subtitles and Tempe Digital trailers.

Special features for "Poison Sweethearts" includes Audio commentary with The Campbell Brothers, Scenes from the unfinished 2002 version, “The Opening Heavens / Burnt Steaks” Luke Campbell music video,, “Delicate Adventures” The Wildcats music video., “I Believe In You” The Killer Dudes music video, “Cordoba Nights” preview trailer, Optional English subtitles and Tempe Digital trailers.

Tempe Digital announces a pair of new additions to its Blu-ray line with the release of "Platoon of the Dead" and "Poison Sweethearts" on May 15, 2018. Each title is priced at $24.99 SRP and includes all bonus material from the original DVD releases, as well as optional English subtitles.

Ghostly Chiller "Safe Inside" to Frighten Your Own Home

Tempe Digital recently released the official trailer and news that their latest release "Safe Inside" will be hitting DVD and Blu-Ray. The film stars Chris Harder, Darcey Venderhoef and iconic scream queens Judith O’Dea (Night of the Living Dead) and Brinke Stevens (The Slumber Party Massacre).

No special features were announced.

"The Dead Next Door" Rises from the Grave with All New 2 Disc Collector's Edition Release:

Tempe Digital recently send the horror chamber over information for the upcoming release of the 1990 zombie cult classic "The Dead Next Door". The release will boaster a 2K resolution from the original super 8 mm film elements.

The release will have all the features from the 3 disc ultimate edition plus an all-new 2017 interview with actor Scott Spiegel (director of cult favorites “Intruder” and “From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money”), as well as a 1999 tour of several locations where the film was shot.

2K Restoration of Zombie Cult Classic “The Dead Next Door” Shambles to Retail as 2-Disc Collector’s Edition

Includes collectable slipcover with first pressing, plus three new bonus features

May 15, 2017 – Akron, Ohio: Tempe Entertainment today announced the launch of its Blu-ray label Tempe Digital with the September 26 release of the 1990 landmark independent shocker “The Dead Next Door.” Priced at $29.95 SRP, this 2-Disc Collector’s Edition includes the same Blu-ray from the company’s limited (and now out of print) 3-Disc Ultimate Edition, along with an all-new DVD featuring a collectable slipcover and three new bonus features.

Two and a half decades before “The Walking Dead” made zombies mainstream on cable television, 19-year-old writer/director J.R. Bookwalter (“Ozone,” “Witchouse 2: Blood Coven”) embarked on “The Dead Next Door,” an ambitious horror feature pitting an elite team of Zombie Squad soldiers against hoards of the undead and the secretive religious cult hell-bent on protecting them. The film would ultimately take four years to complete with the help of a now-famous Hollywood director and more than 1,500 Northeast Ohio residents, who portrayed the multitudes of bloodthirsty ghouls.

For this 2-Disc Collector’s Edition release, brand-new 4:3 and 16:9 1080p HD masters have been painstakingly created from a 2K restoration using the original Super-8mm film elements. Also included is a 5.1 surround mix which restores the voices of the original cast members for the first time ever, vintage and newly-prepared bonus materials, and much more. The DVD includes a 4:3 standard-definition presentation of the restored feature plus a candid audio commentary by the director recorded in 2001, which was previously only available on long out-of-print international releases.

The second disc also features an all-new 2017 interview with actor Scott Spiegel (director of cult favorites “Intruder” and “From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money”), as well as a 1999 tour of several locations where the film was shot. Rounding out the Collector’s Edition is a beautiful slipcover featuring newly-commissioned artwork, which will only be available with the first pressing of 1,000 units.
