Disturbing Film "Be My Cat: A Film for Anne" Will Shock You on VOD and DVD:

Adrian Țofei Productions recently released information for the upcoming DVD release of "Be My Cat: A Film for Anne". The film stars Adrian Tofei, Sonia Teodoriu and Florentina Hariton.

"Be My Cat: A Film for Anne" will be available on Vimeo On Demand on December 5th and DVD in January.

Press Release:

Romania’s first found footage horror movie Be My Cat: A Film for Anne (English-language) is going to be released worldwide on Vimeo On Demand on December 5th, 2016. It is currently available for pre-order HERE. Releases on Amazon Video, Prime and DVD will follow in January 2017.

Directed, produced, written by and starring Adrian Țofei, the movie features a young man in Romania who goes to shocking extremes to convince Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway to star in his film. Adrian Țofei also started an online petition to help the movie reach Anne Hathaway.

It premiered at the 2015 Fantasporto International Film Festival in Portugal. Over 15 other festival selections followed (like the 2015 Transilvania IFF and 2016 Other Worlds Austin) and went on to win numerous awards including Best Film at the 2015 A Night of Horror International Film Festival in Sydney and Best Actor for Adrian Țofei at the 2016 Nashville Film Festival in the US and 2016 Hamilton Film Festival in Canada.

It has already been called “potentially revolutionary and dangerous” by Dread Central, a “disturbing found footage masterpiece” by 28DLA and included in Audiences Everywhere’s The 100 Best Horror Movies of the 2000s. 28DLA added that “the authenticity comes from exceptionally strong performances by an excellent cast - Sonia Teodoriu, Florentina Hariton, Alexandra Stroe and Adrian Țofei are so convincing that, at times, it’s uncomfortable to watch.”

Adrian Țofei’s acting has been further described by critics as “incredible” “haunting”, “complex”, “captivating”, “shockingly good” and “frighteningly natural”. Artsploitation said that he did “the most believable movie psychopath since Normal Bates” and A Night of Horror said about the movie that it’s “the most revolutionary addition to the found footage genre since The Blair Witch Project”. “The line between fact and fiction has never been so terrifyingly and brilliantly blurred.” (Dread Central). “A truly unique experience that will be talked about for years to come.” (Cinema Slasher). “A film you won’t want to miss!” (Found Footage Critic)

Film Clips from the Upcoming Indie Chiller "The Eyes of My Mother"

Magnet Releasing recently released film clips for their upcoming release "The Eyes of My Mother". The film stars Kika Magalhães, Will Brill, Flora Diaz, Paul Nazak, Clara Wong, Diana Agostini and Olivia Bond.

"The Eyes of My Mother" hits theaters in limited release and VOD on December 2nd.

For more information on this film, you can visit the film's official website at: TheEyesOfMyMother.com.

Plot Synopsis:

In their secluded farmhouse, a mother, formerly a surgeon in Portugal, teaches her daughter, Francisca, to understand anatomy and be unfazed by death. One afternoon, a mysterious visitor shatters the idyll of Francisca's family life, deeply traumatizing the young girl, but also awakening unique curiosities. Though she clings to her increasingly reticent father, Francisca's loneliness and scarred nature converge years later when her longing to connect with the world around her takes on a dark form. Shot in crisp black and white, the haunting visual compositions evoke its protagonist's isolation and illuminate her deeply unbalanced worldview. Genre-inflected, but so strikingly unique as to defy categorization, writer/director Nicolas Pesce's feature debut allows only an elliptical presence in Francisca's world, guiding our imaginations to follow her into peculiar, secret places.
